Shooting Leaves 1 Man Dead, 1 Injured In Newark

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police were trying to identify a suspect Monday, after one man was killed and another wounded in a shooting in Newark.

Around 10:49 p.m. Sunday, police were called to Huntington Terrace and Lehigh Avenue in Newark and found Brent Williams, 20, of East Orange unresponsive in a car, police said.

Williams was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 p.m. Sunday, police said.

A second man, also 20, suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.

No motive had been determined, and no suspect had been identified, Monday night.
