Hundreds On LI Show Support For Veterans At Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An annual bike ride took place on Long Island Friday to raise money for wounded war veterans.
As 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera reported, hundreds of supporters and bicyclists turned out for the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride in the Town of Babylon.

Officials also held a moment of silence at Babylon Town Hall for the four Marines killed and others injured in Thursday's shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Vietnam veteran Tom Lano bowed his head in honor of victims.
"I was in tears yesterday when I heard four Marines passed away," he said.
"Thank you for your service to our country," Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone said to the crowd before the ride began.
Bellone cheered on the crowd as about 50 wounded warriors, some of them missing limbs, led the way on their bikes.
"Have a great ride today," Bellone said.
Crowds also lined up to cheer on the participants.
"These guys did above and beyond for everybody here in the United States...so it's just unbelievable," one woman said.
It was a 25-mile ride from town hall to the ocean, all to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
