7/18 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good Afternoon!

Some had a stormy start earlier today with a lot of quick downpours and lightning moving through. We'll still see pop-up storms as we head into this evening. Not everyone will see them, but those that do can expect a brief heavy downpour and some rumbles of thunder. I wouldn't cancel any outdoor plans, just keep an eye out for some fast moving storms. We'll hit 86 in Central Park and that humidity will continue to rise.

It stays mild and muggy overnight with a low of 75 in the city, upper 60s and low 70s in the suburbs. Expect some patchy fog early tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow will be the hottest day so far this summer with temps in the 90s across the region. With dew points in the 70s though, it'll be feeling more like 100! Going for a high of 92 in the city.

Another storm chance moves into the picture late tomorrow night and into Monday. Looks like Tuesday we'll finally get a break from the oppressive humidity with mostly sunny skies.

Be sure to stay hydrated if you'll be outside this weekend. Check back in soon for the latest.
