NYPD: Men Robbed, Assaulted Livery Driver In The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York City police are looking for two men accused of assaulting and robbing a livery driver in the Bronx early Sunday morning.

Police say the 55-year-old male livery driver, was dropping off a female customer on Webster Avenue around 1:55 a.m. when the first suspect approached to pay for her fare.

There was reportedly a dispute over the price and while the suspect physically struggled with the victim, a second suspect intervened.

The second suspect hit the victim with an unknown object and removed his wallet containing $10, police said. The female passenger and both suspects fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital where he was treated and released.

The first suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, 240 pounds with braided hair. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark blue jeans and white sneakers.

The second suspect is described as a black male with a dark complexion, medium build and was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, tan shorts and white sneakers.
