7/19 CBS2 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines
By Mark McIntyre, CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer
Yikes!!! What a scorcher it was today -- many spots in the Tri-Sate Area had temperatures well into the 90s, and with high dew points, many folks felt more like 100 to 105 degrees! Sure is a far cry from the bitter cold & snow of winter. It'll be a sauna tonight with a few storms rolling through. While the storms will be rather hit & miss, one thing is for sure - air conditioners will be cranking as a few spots may not dip below 80!
It's gonna be another hot one tomorrow with temps again in the upper 80s & low 90s. There will still be a chance for a few showers/storms, but the main concern once again will be the humidity. While it will technically be a little less humid tomorrow, it's still gonna feel pretty nasty out there. One bit of good news is that humidity will drop off a bit during the evening.
Tuesday will be very warm again, with still lowering humidity, and a chance for a few passing showers/storms. The real relief comes Tuesday night as a cold front knocks all the humidity outta here. Temperatures look to close out the week in the low/mid 80s.
