7/20 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

The heat will persist into this afternoon with "feels like" temps ranging from 95 to 100°! That said, the National Weather Service has placed the city and much of New Jersey under a Heat Advisory until 6-8 PM. And while it is unlikely we'll see much in the way thunderstorm activity (if any at all), there's still about a 10-20% chance around the area.

A stray shower/storm is possible into tonight, but mainly during the evening. It will still be warm and a little humid with lows in the mid to upper 70s.

The heat returns tomorrow, but the humidity won't be quite as bad as it has been in recent days. Nevertheless, 90° looks to be in reach, so we could see our first heat wave of the season! Also, there's a chance of storms, but mainly late in the day and to our N&W.

We'll finally feel some relief on Wednesday in the wake of our cold front: temps back to normal with more comfortable humidity levels. The skies are looking mainly sunny at this point, too, so it should be an overall great day!

As for Thursday, high pressure hangs on and we should see a near repeat.

Check back for what's in store for the remainder of the week!
