The Mets had a day game in D.C. and played pretty well, that is until Bobby Parnell made his presence felt in the pivotal eighth inning.

Boomer and Craig got after it Thursday morning, beginning with the Mets, who ended up losing to the first-place Nats by a score of 4-3.  Terry Collins took the hit for Parnell's implosion, but either way, with the loss the Mets missed out on a golden opportunity to pull within one game of first in the NL East.  The Metsies will begin a four-game set with the Dodgers at Citi Field tonight, with Bartolo Colon on the bump against Clayton Kershaw.

The Yankees made their fans very happy with yet another win, a 4-3 victory over the Orioles.  Wednesday night's triumph was powered by a couple of long balls, courtesy of both Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira.

In light of the NBA's idea of selling individual game pay-per-views for about $7 -- while one could get the entire season pass for just over $100 -- Craig took the lead for an impromptu segment we're gonna call "In The Best Interests Of The Sport"

We also heard about our old co-worker Tommy Lugauer, an upcoming staff luncheon, and Craig's vow to start eating right...
