3 Men Sought In 8 Violent Bronx Robberies

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for three men in connection with a series of violent robberies in the Bronx.

There have been at least eight incidents since June 16, police said.

Most of the robberies occurred in the Fordham area, CBS2 reported.

In each case, the suspects walk up to their victims on the street, throwing some to the ground before punching and kicking them, police said.

Many of the victims -- who are all men ranging in age from 19 to 61 -- suffered cuts and bruises, police said. Two of them had to be hospitalized.

The suspects have made off with cell phones, credit cards and hundreds of dollars in cash. In one incident, police said the suspects snatched a 32-inch television from a 34-year-old man's hands.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
