The New York Mets avoided another heartbreaking loss Sunday. After blowing a 2-0 ninth-inning lead, newly acquired Juan Uribe drove in Curtis Granderson with a single to center field in the 10th inning, winning the game over the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-2, to split the four-game series.

Uribe, who began the season with L.A., is the fifth former Dodger to have a walk-0ff hit for the Mets.

· Jerry Grote: 8/23/69 RBI double in 9th
· Ted Martinez: 5/10/72 RBI single in 14th
· Kevin Elster: 5/31/88 solo home run in 11th

The Mets' offense exploded Saturday night as they defeated the Dodgers, 15-2. Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Michael Conforto both went 4-for-4 in the blowout win. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, it was the first time in Mets history that two players went 4-for-4 or better in the same game.

Conforto's four-hit night came in his second major league game. According to the Player Game Finder at baseball-reference.com, only five players have had a four-hit game in their first 10 major league games as Mets:

· 8/4/02: Ty Wigginton vs. Arz 4-for-5 (7th career game)
· 8/25/75: Mike Vail at SD 4-for-4 (5th career game)

The Dodgers beat the Mets, 6-2, Friday night at Citi Field. Ex-Met Justin Turner went 3-for-5 with two doubles and a home run for L.A. in the win. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Turner became the first former Mets player with three extra-base hits in a game since Mike Jacobs did that for the Marlins seven years ago.

Here are the nine instances where an ex-Mets player had three extra-base hits against them:

· 7/24/15: Justin Turner, LA at NYM 3-for-5, 2 2Bs, HR

The Mets were on the verge of moving to within one game of the first-place Nationals last Wednesday afternoon in D.C., leading 3-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning before dropping the rubber game of the series, 4-3.

Bobby Parnell took the loss, allowing three runs against Washington in the bottom of the eighth inning. Parnell is now 0-4 with a 6.63 earned run average in 25 career appearances at Nationals Park.

Last Wednesday's loss was just the Mets' fourth this season in a game in which they led after six innings:

· 6/6 at Arizona: led 1-0 after 6, lost 2-1
· 6/13 vs. Atlanta: led 3-1 after 8, lost 5-3 in 11

· 7/22 at Washington: led 3-1 after 7, lost 4-3

Matt den Dekker had a single and three walks in four trips to the plate in the Nationals' come-from-behind win. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, den Dekker was the first player with a "perfect day" starting against the Mets after playing for them the previous season since Kaz Matsui went 5-for-5 for the Rockies in 2007.

Happy Recap: Matt Harvey had two RBIs in the Mets' 15-2 win Saturday night. It was the third consecutive start in which Harvey knocked in two runs. Only two Mets pitchers, Dwight Gooden (1985) and Al Leiter (1998), had two straight starts with two or more RBIs.

Nine Miles of Rough Road: Jeurys Familia has only had two save opportunities since the All-Star break, but has blown both of them.
