7/31 CBS2 Friday Evening Weather Headlines

Good evening everyone,

What a turnaround! Yesterday was hot, sticky and stormy. Although we erased a good portion of our rain deficit we are still around .5" below.

Storms brought rain across the area basically all day before clearing out near midnight. High pressure settled in overnight and has given us a fantastic, albeit warm Friday.

We're topping off around 90° today with a few towns tacking on a couple of extra degrees.

The weekend is looking spectacular. Better for the beaches than the mountain because a slight cold front swing past us tomorrow afternoon that could trigger a storm.
