8/1 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening folks!

Another summer winner out there today, with highs topping out in the upper 80s for most. As expected, a few isolated showers and storms popped up north and west of the city, but with limited moisture, most were short-lived. This will continue over the next few hours and any activity will dissipate this evening.

A quiet night ahead, with mostly clear skies and lows in the 60s for the suburbs, low 70s for NYC. It'll feel quite comfortable as dew points remain low.

Looks like a fantastic finish to the weekend tomorrow, with plenty of sun and highs once again in the upper 80s! Monday is when we'll see that bump up in humidity, but it will be brief. Hot and humid with highs in the low 90s, feeling like mid 90s. A few scattered storms are possible.

It clears out for Tuesday and stays on the warm side, but more comfortable as that humidity drops off again. We're watching Thursday into Friday for a period of showers and storms.

Check back in later for more updates!
