NJ State Police Search For Suspect In Shooting Outside Concert At PNC Bank Arts Center In Holmdel

HOLMDEL, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A state police K-9 unit was searching the woods overnight for a gunman who shot two people outside a hip-hop concert in central New Jersey.

The shooting happened just after 11 p.m. Monday outside the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, causing panic among the crowd attending a show by Big Sean and J. Cole.

Witnesses said the gunfire began after an argument broke out in the parking lot.

"As I was cleaning, doing my job, everyone who was here heard gunshots," an arena employee said. "We heard four of them -- it was like firecrackers going off since the show was over -- and then we heard like five more. Everyone in the parking lot started running."

Mary Kate was at the concert and saw state troopers drive by.

"There's this bridge and there's a lot of lanes for the cars, and they were just going crazy with their sirens and everything and their lights, and they were speeding down the road," she told 1010 WINS' Rebecca Granet.
