8/6 CBS2 Thursday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis

We'll see some extra high clouds move in this afternoon, but we'll still be in good shape. Expect temps to be just a touch cooler than yesterday... high around 83°.

A system to our S&W will throw some more clouds into our area tonight. Communities to our south are looking at a decent chance of seeing some rain through sunrise. Temps will fall into the upper 60s.

We're looking at a mostly cloudy to partly sunny day tomorrow with drier conditions to the north and some rain to our south. Temps will only warm into the low 80s.

The aforementioned system will be just offshore on Saturday. The latest computer guidance keeps the precipitation offshore, but it's still too close for comfort. That said, expect some clouds with a chance of rain farther east. Temps will climb into the low 80s once again.

As of now, Sunday is looking like the better half of the weekend with more sunshine and a high in the low 80s.

Check back for more on the potential rain maker and this weekend!
