Although he wouldn't admit it, it sure looked like Jerry Recco took liberties with Mike Francesa's earbuds (photographic proof?).

Either way, after trying to explain himself, Jerry started his update with the Yanks' 2-1 win over the Red Sox, and it went very well.  Things also went well for CC Sabathia, although his effort through six innings was not enough to earn him the win. That was picked up by Justin Wilson after Jacoby Ellsbury went deep in the bottom of the seventh.

CC did get into it with home-plate umpire Rob Drake, which led Craig to conclude that the majority of people are just way too sensitive.  Tonight the Blue Jays and R.A. Dickey come to town for a three-game series. The Yanks will counter with Nathan Eovaldi.

Plus, the Mets were idle and will get back after it tonight down in St Petersburg, where Jacob deGrom will make the start. Mets reliever Jerry Blevins is likely done for the season after taking a fall, there's some news from Giants and Jets camp, Rex Ryan eats a couple of dog biscuits and more...
