Rapper Sean Price, 43, Dies At Brooklyn Home

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — A hip-hop artist credited with influencing New York's rap movement in the 1990s as a member of the duo Heltah Skeltah has died.

Sean Price was 43.

The rapper's record label, Duck Down Music, said in a statement to The Associated Press that Price died early Saturday in his Brooklyn apartment.

The cause of death was not immediately known.

Price was a New York native who also performed with the group Boot Camp Clik. His last album was released in 2012.

Price is survived by his wife and three children.
