New York Comedy Festival Announces Star-Studded Lineup

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It's time to bring the funny.

The New York Comedy Festival has announced the lineup for the 12th annual event, which runs from Nov. 10 to Nov. 15.

"We're very excited about the lineup," Caroline Hirsch of Carline's on Broadway told 1010 WINS. "We will be featuring over 200 comedians and over 60 shows around New York City. What we like is that there's really something for everyone, we really have a nice variety of shows. There's something for every generation."

The festival provides opportunities for fans and comics alike, Hirsch said.

"It's diversified, we get to bring in people that don't usually headline in New York City, we try to come up with new types of shows," Hirsch said.

Judd Apatow and friends will perform. Billy Crystal will sit down for a conversation with David Steinberg.

And Kathy Griffin, who spoke to 1010 WINS, is among the many comics who will be doing stand-up around town.

"I would like to be so vulgar and profane at Carnegie Hall that I would actually like to end up in jail that night," Griffin said. "Then I'd have a celebrity mugshots, I'd have two Emmys, a Grammy, and a celebrity mugshot, that's even closer to getting me to the EGOT and only in the Big Apple can I do that."

Other comedians include Patton Oswalt, Sarah Silverman, Billy Crystal, new "Daily Show" host Trevor Noah, and many more.

Tickets go on sale to the general public next Monday. Presale tickets are available for Citi card members.
