Man Molested Woman In Flatiron District Subway Station, Police Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Wednesday were asking for assistance from the public in finding a man who molested a woman in a Flatiron District subway station.

Around 6:45 p.m. Saturday, the 23-year-old woman was standing on the northbound platform of the 23rd Street station for the N and R train, beneath the intersection of 23rd Street and Broadway near Madison Square Park.

The man walked up to the woman and put one arm around her, police said. He took his other hand, put it up her skirt, and sexually abused her, police said.

The suspect was described as a white or Hispanic male between 35 and 40, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall with a bald head.

Police have released surveillance images.
