8/13 CBS2 Thursday Evening Weather Headlines

Good evening all,

Today is a top ten day around here! Beautiful blue skies and plenty of sunshine are making it a lovely one.

We started off in the upper 60s this morning but are climbing steadily and nicely into the mid 80s. We will drop back down into the upper 60s around the five boroughs tonight with some seeing the upper 50s to our north and west.

Skies will remain clear tomorrow but we shift to southerly winds. This wind shift will pump out temps up close to 90° inland with the city topping off in the upper 80s.

The weekend is still looking hot with temps closing in on 90s. If we hit 90s Saturday, Sunday and Monday... we hit that elusive heat wave. Check back in soon for the latest.
