8/17 CBS2 Monday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist

The heat is certainly on this afternoon with temps expecting to max out around 95°. With the humidity, though, it will feel more like the mid to upper 90s. And in case you're keeping records, this would mark the start of our first heat wave in two years! Stay cool out there!

It will be on the mild side tonight and a little more humid. Temps are expected to fall into the upper 70s by daybreak.

Tomorrow will be another hot and humid one. The odds are in our favor, but we could once again see a pop-up storm around the area. Highs will be in the low 90s.

It will be rather muggy and still warm on Wednesday. As of now, it's looking like isolated to scattered storms for the area as we head through the day.

And as for Thursday, we're looking at an even better chance of showers and storms with humid conditions still in place.
