8/17 CBS2 Monday Morning Weather Headlines

Good mornin' folks! Let's get right to it - it's gonna be a real scorcher today. Starting off the day we'll have temps in the upper 70s and even low 80s. Expect plenty of sunshine so temps will spike into the low & mid 90s again ... so it looks like our first official heat wave will be in the books! There is a slim chance of an isolated shower/storm, but the heat is the story today!

The heat will stick around through the week with upper 80s and low 90s each day. Not just that, but the humidity will be reaching uncomfortable levels as well. We could also have a few pop-up storms each day, but the best bet looks to be Thursday into Friday as a cold front sweeps through. This front should lower the humidity a bit to more tolerable levels.
