Police Seek Suspect In Robbery Spree In East Harlem, The Bronx

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were searching for a suspect who they believe has held up pharmacies and other stores in East Harlem and the Bronx this month.

In one incident, the suspect had accomplices, according to police.

The robberies happened at the following times and locations:

• Around 4:40 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, two suspects walked into a pharmacy at 619 E. 169th St in the Bronx and took out guns, police said. The suspects took about $100 and ran south on Franklin Avenue with a third suspect, police said.

• Around 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, the suspect walked into the Riverton Pharmacy, at 1945 Park Ave. in Manhattan, and took out a gun while demanding money, police said. The suspect took an iPhone 6 and $4,400 in cash, and fled in a 2001 GMC, police said.

• Around 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, the suspect walked into a Metro PCS at 827 Westchester Ave. in the Bronx and came behind the counter, police said. The suspect took out a gun and demanded money, and took $2,000 in cash before fleeing west on Westchester Avenue, police said.

• At 5:17 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, a suspect entered Boca Pharmacy, at 904 Prospect Ave. in the Bronx, and went behind the counter, police said. The suspect took out a gun and took about $200 from the register, before riding off on a bicycle, police said.

• Around 5:25 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, the suspect walked into a store at 847 Prospect Ave. in the Bronx and again took out a gun, and took $1,300 in cash from the register and another $4,000 from an employee, police said. The suspect also made off with an iPhone 6, Galaxy Edge cellphone, and Galaxy S6 cellphone before fleeing, police said.

The suspect was described as a black Hispanic male about 5 feet 3 inches tall, and standing about 140 pounds. Police released a photo from the fourth incident.
