NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for several suspects in connection with two separate subway assaults in New York City.

Authorities have released surveillance images of a man wanted for an assault on the No. 2 train in the Bronx two weeks ago.

Police said the man followed a young woman off the train at the 149th Street stop in Mott Haven, then pushed her to the ground, beat her with his cane and stepped on her right hand.

The victim said that earlier, the two had gotten into an argument over a seat on the train.
