Givenchy To Offer Tickets To General Public For Fashion Week Show

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Givenchy fashion house is opening New York Fashion Week, and for the very first time, tickets will be available to the general public.

A total of 1,200 tickets will be up for grabs for the Givenchy Show on Thursday, Sept. 11. The event will coincide with the opening of the Manhattan flagship Givenchy store on Madison Avenue.

The label has set aside 280 of the passes for fashion students and faculty at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Parsons The New School for Design, Pratt Institute, and the High School for Fashion Industries, according to a Fashionista announcement. The others will be available to the general public.

The Givenchy show will feature the work of Ricardo Tisci, described by Fashionista as a "bona fide celebrity designer" and "one of the most active French creative directors on social media."

Those who want tickets may enter at GivenchyNYFW15.com.

The venue has not yet been announced.
