Connecticut Schools To Dismiss Students Early Due To Heat

HARTFORD, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Several Connecticut school districts are planning to dismiss students early in anticipation of record heat.

Many schools across the state are dismissing students early on Tuesday, and some are planning to do so on Wednesday as well.

CHECK FORECAST

Temperatures will approach record levels on Tuesday with highs of at least 90 degrees in many areas. Temperatures are expected to fall slightly on Wednesday, but rising humidity levels will increase the heat index.

Norwalk Public Schools had to dismiss early last Thursday as well.
