NYPD: Suspect Runs Off After Shotgun Jams During Manhattan Deli Robbery
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man armed with a shotgun tried to hold up a deli in Manhattan but fled when his weapon got jammed, police said.
The suspect walked into the Elim Deli Cafe on Lexington Avenue in Lenox Hill around 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, police said.
He demanded money at gunpoint, racked the gun several times and ran out empty-handed when the gun appeared to jam, police said.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Police released surveillance pictures of the suspect carrying the gun and wearing a white sleeveless shirt and blue pants.
