Inbound Lincoln Tunnel Tube Reopens After Crash Causes Heavy Delays
WEEHAWKEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Traffic is moving again after a crash closed an inbound tube of the Lincoln Tunnel, causing heavy delays for drivers during the morning rush on Tuesday.
It happened in the south inbound tube of the tunnel just before 6:30 a.m.
Port Authority spokesman Joe Pentangelo said the accident involved two cars and Greyhound bus. Five people suffered minor injuries.
Video from the scene showed vehicles backing out of the tube. The closure caused delays up to 90 minutes and traffic was backed up to the New Jersey Turnpike.
The tube was reopened a few hours later.
