Fiery Two-Car Crash Causes Delays On Taconic Parkway

OSSINING, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A fiery two-car crash caused major delays on the Taconic Parkway.

The accident happened just south of Route 134 in Ossining Thursday morning.

At one point, both vehicles were completely engulfed in flames, CBS2's Jim Smith reported.

There were some injuries, but the exact number and the extent of the injuries are not known, Smith reported.

The northbound side saw delays of up to a half-mile, while delays stretched up to a mile on the southbound side.

The vehicles involved were removed from the scene just before noon.
