Tips For Making Kids' Playtime Fun And Educational

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- As your kids get back into the swing of things at school, it can be hard to get them to focus. But what if playtime could also be lesson time?

Toy Insider Mom Laurie Schacht stopped by the CBS2 studios to show off some toys and do-it-yourself items that will get your child learning without them even realizing it.

"The most important thing when we purchase a toy is that fun factor, but what a great bonus when our toys also teach," Schacht told CBS2's Diane Macedo.
