Source To CBS2: Alleged Victim In Fordham Assault Recants Story

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The investigation into a sexual assault near Fordham University has been closed, after the victim recanted her story.

The 19-year-old student reported being attacked by two men on Saturday night, in an alleyway near campus.

Sources told CBS2 may have falsified her story because she had an argument with a friend about being late.

The friend alerted school authorities and the school notified police.

Investigators were unable to find sufficient evidence, and the woman later admitted that she made the story up.
