10/3 CBS2 Saturday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Hi everybody! Expect cloudy skies to remain through the night, along with some drizzle or spotty showers. It'll be cool with temps dropping a few notches to 51 in NYC, and some mid 40s in the north & west 'burbs. Wind will be another issue, with northeast winds howlin' 25-30 mph and gusts up to 50 mph at the coasts.

Evening Tonight Board

Tomorrow will be a better day overall, perhaps a stray shower, but there could be breaks of sun late in the day. It'll be warmer with temps in the upper 50s/low 60s, but still windy...northeast gusts of 35-45 mph look like a good bet for the coasts, so we'll have coastal flooding concerns continuing.

Evening Planner

Monday will be better still, with more sunshine and temps in the mid 60s...it'll still be breezy as Major Hurricane Joaquin passes to our east, but we won't have any direct impacts - just the continuation of rough seas. We'll warm up into the upper 60s and even low 70s for the middle of next week with more sunshine.

Have a great night!
