Boomer & Carton: Yanks' Offense And Harvey Both Fail To Show Up

Subscribe to the Boomer & Carton Podcast »

On Tuesday night in the Bronx the Yankees played the Astros in the win-or-go-home AL Wild-Card game and greatly disappointed their fan base by losing a 3-0 stinker.

Boomer and Craig discussed the Bombers' shortcomings as they got the Morning Extravaganza going. There was Alex Rodriguez's at-bat in the sixth inning in which the Yanks' slugger flew out harmlessly. Joe Girardi's club managed just three hits, so saying they came up "empty" is far from an exaggeration.

Earlier in the day, Mets' pitcher Matt Harvey was in the news after he failed to show up for a mandatory workout, thus creating all sorts of drama. It wasn't exactly what the Mets needed as they prepare for their NLDS matchup with the Dodgers, which gets underway Friday night out in Los Angeles.

So it was Boomer and it was Carton, collectively helping you start your day off right and there ain't nothin' wrong with that.
