10/10 CBS2 Saturday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Matt DeLucia
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good afternoon, everyone! We have a beautiful fall weekend in store with much cooler temps after that cold front moved through last night. High pressure is building in and will remain in control for the next few days. Temps will top out today in the low to mid 60s, with a high of 65 in the city... cool, but seasonable!

It's going to get chilly overnight! Clear skies and light winds will really aid with the cooling. While it'll bottom out in the upper 40s to around 50 in the city, some of the far N&W suburbs will likely drop into the upper 30s! With the calm winds, patchy frost is certainly possible in those areas by dawn.

The sun-filled skies continue for tomorrow, with slightly warmer temps in the upper 60s to around 70. Whether it's leaf peeking or pumpkin picking on your schedule, this is certainly a perfect weekend for it!

A nice warm up is in store for Columbus Day, with highs back into the 70s under mostly sunny skies. There's a slight chance of some showers late Monday night into Tuesday, but it's not looking very impressive. Another mild day on Tuesday before a cold front knocks temps back into the 60s for the rest of the week.
