10/12 CBS2 Monday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta
CBS2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening and happy Columbus Day!

Today was just a brilliant continuation from our fantastic weekend. Plenty of sunshine for everyone, and plenty of comfortable temps. We hit a unseasonable 77° today in Central Park. That's normal for late June and early September!

A cool night is coming for most, but we will see some clouds overhead late night ahead of a weak cold front arriving tomorrow. We will not be "socked in" with clouds, there will be break of sunshine in your day but go ahead and grab the umbrella just in case.

A very slight risk for a shower is possible early on for the Mets game Tuesday night, but the fronts usually speed up and most likely it will pass before first pitch.

Check back soon for an update.
