Police: Man Assaulted Traffic Enforcement Agent In Ozone Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were searching for a suspect who allegedly assaulted a traffic enforcement agent in Queens.

The incident happened at 8:42 a.m. this past Saturday at 101st Avenue and 95th Street in Ozone Park, Queens, police said.

The suspect had just received a ticket from the traffic enforcement agent – a 55-year-old man, police said. He grabbed the agent's summons device and threw it to the ground, knocked off the agent's cap, and threw water at the agent, police said.

The suspect then ran off, police said. He was last seen driving a black Nissan vehicle.

Police have released surveillance video of the suspect.
