WATCH: Bartolo Colon Takes A Nasty Spill On Way To Mets' Clubhouse

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Bartolo Colon isn't the best player on the Mets, but he might be the biggest fan favorite.

From his epic at-bats to his laid-back demeanor to his ability to still somehow get outs, the 42-year-old ageless wonder has been a darling of the fan base from the moment he signed with New York in late 2013.

There's something about him that we can all relate to, and that was further evident on Sunday night.

On his way to the clubhouse following the Mets' 4-1 win over the Cubs in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday night, Colon took a nasty spill.

In classic Colon fashion, he got right up and began jogging, completely unfazed by what just occurred.

The veteran, who will be a free agent after the season, has been working out of relief in the postseason. He made three appearances in the Mets' NLDS win over the Dodgers, allowing two runs in four innings and striking out five.

He hasn't made an appearance in the NLCS.

Up 2-0 in the series, the Mets will take on the Cubs at Wrigley Field in Game 3 on Tuesday night.
