Ex-Pat WR Thompkins To Be In Uniform Sunday For Jets Up In Foxboro

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Jets promoted wide receiver Kenbrell Thompkins to the active roster from the practice squad on Tuesday night.

The move came a day after wide receiver Quincy Enunwa was suspended four games for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy in an incident last year.

The Jets also signed former Jaguars and Chiefs cornerback Jeremy Harris to the practice squad.

Thompkins, signed by the Jets on Oct. 5, joins the active roster in time to face his former team when New York plays at New England on Sunday.

Thompkins was signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati in 2013 and caught 32 passes for 466 yards and four touchdowns. He was claimed off waivers by Oakland last season, but was cut before this season. New England re-signed him to the practice squad last month, but released him a few weeks later.
