Mets And Royals Game 1 Lineups Revealed

Bryan Altman, CBS Local Sports

The moment we've all been waiting for since the season began back in April has finally arrived as Game 1 of the World Series between the New York Mets and the Kansas City Royals kicks off tonight at 8:07 p.m. ET.

Rosters have been released and there aren't too many surprises on either side of the field. Most notable changes are the Mets going with Kelly Johnson over Michael Cuddyer in the DH spot and their addition of Juan Uribe, who has yet to play in the 2015 playoffs, to the active roster.

The Royals starting lineup is the same as their lineup throughout the ALCS. The Royals' biggest addition is 20-year-old Raul A. Mondesi, son of famed MLB slugger Raul Mondesi. Mondesi's son would be the first player in MLB history to make his debut in the league during the World Series.
