Giants Add Safety, Tight End To Practice Squad
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The New York Giants have signed safety Cooper Taylor and tight end Matt LaCosse to their practice squad.
Taylor was released on Oct. 20, one day after the Giants lost in Philadelphia, 27-7. The third-year pro played in three games this sesaon.
LaCosse was waived by the Giants on Aug. 2 after suffering a hamstring injury in training camp. Since the rookie free agent received an injury settlement, this was the first week New York could re-sign him.
The Giants have two tight ends on their practice squad, Jerome Cunningham and LaCosse. Larry Donnell left Sunday's game with a neck injury, leaving Will Tye as the only tight end on the roster.
Guard Adam Gettis was released from the practice squad.
