NYPD Seeks Suspect Who Stole Woman's Purse In Brooklyn

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a man who they said robbed a woman inside an apartment building lobby in Brooklyn.

The incident happened around 9:30 a.m. at 2960 West 31st St. in the Seagate section of the borough on Nov.1.

Investigators said the suspect asked the woman to open the lobby door for him and when she did, he pushed her against a wall and grabbed her purse.

The suspect took off with the bag, which contained the woman's wallet, credit cards, beauty products, iPhone and charger.

Police said the victim was not injured during the robbery.

Authorities described the suspect as a black male in his 20s, about 6'1" tall and 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, baseball hat and blue jeans.
