Police Seek 2 In Attack, Attempted Robbery Inside Morningside Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Two people attacked a woman and tried to steal her purse as she walked through Morningside Park, authorities said.

A surveillance image of the two suspects, which appear to be women, was released by police.

The attack happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday near West 116th Street and Morningside Drive.

Investigators said the two suspects took off empty-handed after the 24-year-old victim fought back and another person walked by.
