LI Police: Manhattan Man Sent Sexual Texts To 13-Year-Old

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Nassau County police say a 71-year-old Manhattan man has been arrested in connection to sexual text messages sent to a 13-year-old girl.

Vincent Iannaco faces charges including disseminating indecent material to a minor and endangering the welfare of a child. He was arrested in his home on Saturday.

Police say he posed as a 31-year-old man and interacted with the girl through social media. Authorities were notified by the girl's parents after they found the messages.

Iannaco and the teen communicated through the apps KiK messenger and Whisper, police said.
