11/22 Sunday Evening Weather Headlines

By Mark McIntyre

CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

As expected, clouds stuck around through a good portion of the day for most spots east of NYC, with rain showers lingering across eastern Long Island. We will dry out overnight with clearing skies and plunging temperatures. Expect plenty of 20s overnight with a low of 33 in NYC and wind chills only 15-25 degrees -- bundle up heading out the door.

We'll have plenty of sunshine tomorrow but it'll be the coldest day since early April, with a high of only 44 degrees, feeling colder than that due to the northwest wind gusts. Tuesday will be a couple of degrees warmer but still breezy & cool. Plenty of sun with highs in the mid & upper 40s.

Evening Holiday Outlook

Then our attention turns to the rest of the week. Plenty of folks traveling on Wednesday for Thanksgiving, but thankfully we'll have clear skies and dry roads in the Tri-State area -- so the road to grandma's house looks good!

As for Turkey Day itself, we couldn't ask for a better day - sunny skies with highs in the upper 50s.The nice weather continues on Friday for all your holiday shopping with sunshine and some low 60s.
