NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- You can score plenty of deals if you're out shopping on Black Friday, especially on normally pricey electronic, but for certain devices and gadgets, it's better to wait to buy.
According to Cnet, Bluetooth speakers can often be found on sale or cheap throughout the year. The one exception is for high-end speakers, like the Ultimate Ears Boom, CBS2's Alex Denis reported. Pricier speakers leave more room for discounts.

No-brand tablets are a no-no. Off-label tablets will make the rounds on Black Friday, but don't buy into the hype. Tablet prices have fallen in the past year, so you can almost always find great deals. For example, Amazon's Fire tablet is just $50.
There will be plenty of laptops on sale, but consider waiting if you're in the market for a high-end model. You'll see the best prices during summer's back-to-school sales.
And finally, don't buy anything super-new. You'll see some exceptions, but for the most part, fresh products like the Apple TV don't see big cuts on Black Friday.
So if you can be a little patient, it will pay off.
