Service Changes Coming For 10 Subway Lines This Weekend

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Commuters this weekend will hit a snag on 10 subway lines around the city.

The reroutes and service changes planned for the weekend are prompted by renovations and upgrades to stations and trackage.

• The No. 3 and 4 trains will not stop at the Rockaway Avenue or Van Siclen Avenue stations in Brooklyn, as both are closed for renovation.

• In addition, New Lots Avenue-bound No. 4 trains will skip the 116th Street, 110th Street, 103rd Street, 96th Street, 77th Street, 68th Street, and 51st Street stations in East Harlem, on the Upper East Side and in Midtown East.

• On the No. 6 Train, Brooklyn Bridge-bound trains also will not stop at the 116th Street, 110th Street, 103rd Street, 96th Street, 77th Street, 68th Street, and 51st Street stations.

• Inwood/207th Street-bound A trains will run express through the weekend from Canal Street to 145th Street, rather than running local in the overnight hours as usual. The Ozone Park-bound A Train platform at 111th Street in Queens, and the Ozone Park-Far Rockaway-bound platform at 80th Street in Queens, are also closed for renovation.

• Northbound C trains are also running local from Canal Street to 145th Street.

• On the L Train, there will be no service this weekend between Myrtle-Wyckoff avenues and Rockaway Parkway in Brooklyn.

• On the D Train, Norwood/205th Street-bound trains will run along the A Train route from West 4th Street to 145th Street.

• The F Train will not run this weekend between Kings Highway and Stillwell Avenue in Brooklyn. Further, Jamaica-bound trains will skip 169th Street, and additional trains will be in service between 179th Street in Queens and Second Avenue in the East Village.

• Astoria-bound N trains will run along the Q Train route between DeKalb Avenue in Brooklyn and Canal Street in Manhattan.

• Forest Hills-bound R trains will also run on the Q Train route between the same stops.
