Sources: Man Already Facing Charges In 2 Long Island Sex Crime Cases Arrested Again

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Long Island man arrested twice before for sexual crimes is in trouble again.

The latest incident occurred on Saturday when Edward Ramirez, 44, of Glen Cove, delivered furniture to a home in Queens, according to law enforcement sources.

While another deliveryman was assembling the furniture, Ramirez molested two children in another room, sources told 1010 WINS' Sonia Rincon.

The NYPD arrested Ramirez after the children, ages 5 and 6, told a parent what happened, sources said.

Ramirez is awaiting arraignment in Queens Criminal Court on charges of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child, Rincon reported.

In Nassau County, Ramirez is awaiting trial in a similar case from last year.

Ramirez was arrested in November 2014 for allegedly fondling and exposing himself to children in two separate incidents at the Glen Cove Stop & Shop, where he worked at the time, Rincon reported.

He was indicted in that case on sex abuse, endangering the welfare of a child and public lewdness charges. He is due back in Nassau County court on Friday.

In June, he was arrested for allegedly leaving a cellphone in a bathroom at Jack's Shack restaurant in Glen Head, and recording people using the restroom.

Ramirez is being held on a $50,000 bond or $25,000 bail, Rincon reported.
