Boobie Dixon Calls Finale Against Jets The Bills' 'Super Bowl'

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The Buffalo Bills' season finale against the New York Jets will have some meaning to it, after all.

Buffalo, though, will be playing the role of spoiler — not exactly what Bills coach Rex Ryan was anticipating when it came to a one-game showdown against his former team.

"I don't really feel anything about it," Ryan said. "I just know we're going to give them our best shot."

Ryan spoke after a 16-6 win over Dallas on Sunday in a game between two teams already out of playoff contention. The Jets (10-5), meanwhile, kept their hopes alive with a 26-20 overtime win over New England.

The chance to affect the postseason picture motivates guard Richie Incognito.

"This will be a playoff game for us," he said.

It's as close as it'll get for the Bills (7-8), who have already extended the NFL's longest active playoff drought to 16 seasons.

Bills running back Boobie Dixon took it a step further, calling the finale against the Jets his team's "Super Bowl."

"We got something to play for now," Dixon said, according to ESPN.com. "We (have) been having something to play for -- that's our respect and our pride. We always want that. But to send them home packing -- that would be great.

"We're not going to the playoffs, so the Super Bowl is next week for us. I know we're gonna have a lot of guys jacked. We already know what's on the line."

If the Jets win, they'll clinch their first playoff berth since the 2010 season.
