Video: Suspects Take $25,000 In Fur Coats From NYC Retailer, Cops Say

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for three suspects in connection to the burglary one of New York City's largest fur retailers.

According to police, the three suspects threw a brick into the glass front door of Henry Cowit/Madison Avenue Furs and entered the location at around 3:49 a.m. on Nov. 16, police said. The suspects proceeded to take 30 fur coats while inside -- amounting to around $25,000 worth of stolen goods, according to police.

The suspects fled the West 27th Street location in a black four-door sedan, police said.

Henry Cowit/Madison Avenue describes the business as one of the largest fur retailers in the United States, according to the company's website. The retailer has been in New York City for more than 65 years.

The NYPD has released surveillance footage of the suspects, which can be viewed by clicking on the video above. Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-877-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
