Harlem Man's Death Ruled Homicide Stemming From 1968 Stabbing
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Harlem man's death has been ruled a homicide, some 47 years after he was stabbed at a bar.
Roy Evans, 75, died on Saturday, March 21, at St. Mount Sinai St. Luke's Hospital, police said. On Tuesday, the New York City Medical Examiner's office ruled that his death had been a homicide.
Police said Evans' son told them his father had been stabbed in 1968 while at Andrew's bar on West 131st Street.
The Medical Examiner's office said Evans died from Sepsis connected with the stab wound, and spinal cord injuries he suffered during the bar fight, police told 1010 WINS.
