Interview: Getting Fit Starts At The Supermarket

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — You’ve probably heard the saying “six packs are made in the kitchen, not the gym.”

Well, if one of your New Year’s resolutions was to get fit, your first move should include a trip to the grocery store.

Lifestyle strategist John Rowley stopped by the CBS2 studios to offer some tips for making healthy decisions when tackling the aisles.

“Having a list is important,” Rowley told CBS2’s Diane Macedo. “Going there not being hungry is, for me, extremely important because I’ll eat everything before I even check out. Knowing what you want to get, being prepared, is probably the most critical thing you can do.”
