Police: Man Threatened Woman With Box Cutter In Long Island City, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Friday released a sketch of a man who grabbed a woman and threatened her in Long Island City, Queens last month.

The 20-year-old woman was walking down 43rd Avenue in Queens at 6:38 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, when the suspect came up behind her and put his arm around her shoulders, police said.

The woman pushed the man away, but he then threatened her with a box cutter and told her to come with him, police said.

A man passing in a car saw what was happening, stopped, and asked the victim if she was OK, police said. The victim screamed and the suspect ran off.

No one was injured in the incident, police said.
